Set of two silver railway officer’s watches, one in 800 silver, with a dial featuring Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes in black, and a railway motif. One features a seconds hand at 6 o’clock, marked ‘Fx Duplomb, railway watchmaker, Lyon – Vaise’. The backs are guilloché and engraved with a steam locomotive. Silver dust covers. Numbered 40117 and 4240. Crab hallmark on one / Bruyère cock hallmark, Swiss-made on the other. Late 19th–early 20th centuries. Diameter: 4.5 and 5 cm. Total gross weight: 168.6 g.
