FRANZ SCHMIDT, Germany. A BEAUTIFUL, CHARACTERFUL BABY with a biscuit-coloured head, sleepy brown eyes, an open mouth revealing two teeth, and the back of the neck marked with the inscription ‘F. S & Co 1272 / 28’, circa 1910. The body is a ball-jointed ‘toddler’ type; the doll is dressed in vintage sailor’s clothes, with some added details (shoes, etc.). Height: 29 cm.
