Description
Jules OURY, known as MARCEL-LENOIR (Montauban 1872 – Montricoux 1931). The Dressing Table. Lithograph signed on the plate, signed in pencil in the lower right-hand corner and numbered 144/175 in the lower left-hand corner (a few pinholes). 65.5 x 47.5 cm. Note: This is a lithograph, an interpretative print, based on Marcel-Lenoir’s work entitled La toilette, a print run commissioned after the artist’s death in the 1970s by Madeleine Marcel-Lenoir, the artist’s widow, at the prestigious Maison Bellini; the print run was limited to 175 lithographs, numbered and countersigned in the margin by Madeleine Marcel-Lenoir; this lithograph bears the number 144/1745. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Ms France and Ms Marie-Ange NAMY of the Marcel LENOIR Museum in Montricoux, who provided further details for this entry.
