8-string mandolin banjo, mahogany body, marked on the binding ‘CLAVERO / DEPOSE / 1309 / Bté SGDG’ and a partially faded dealer’s mark on the back of the headstock: ‘Mon THOMARON / 54 rue du loup / BORDEAUX’ (in an oval). Made circa 1920/1930. Skin punctured, crack and reinforcement strip added to the pegbox, scratches and signs of wear. Length: 59.7 cm. Hard case with skin tensioning key, original strings and tuning fork.
