General Staff Officer’s sword, 1817 model, with chiselled decoration. Tapered blade covered in shagreen, with filigree. Chiselled brass mountings. Truncated conical pommel. Single-branch guard. Crossguard featuring three fleurs-de-lis on a crowned shield, surrounded by oak and laurel leaves. Counter-guard with a pompon. Rhomboidal blade, marked ‘Manufre Royale du Klingenthal’ and ‘March 1822’. With two chiselled, gilded brass fittings mounted on an iron scabbard. Pommel marked ‘Manceaux à Paris’.
