Original lithographed poster, canvas-backed. Condition A-, minor tears. This is the very first tourist poster produced for the Dordogne. It is also the first poster to mention the margins, with a note in the lower right-hand corner: It is forbidden to reduce the margins of this poster. Georges Blois was exhibited at the Universal, International and Colonial Exhibition in Lyon in 1894 and at the Salon des artistes français in 1897 and 1898. His master was Edmond Marie Petitjean, who stayed with him in Razac-sur-l'Isle.
