AEF (Afrique-Équatoriale Française) was the name given to the general government created in 1910 to bring together in a federation the four French territories of equatorial Africa: Gabon, Moyen-Congo (now Congo-Brazzaville), Oubangui-Chari (now the Central African Republic) and Chad.
