Description
Tourism - Julien Lacaze (1886-1971) - Chemin de fer du midi et d'Orléans. View of the Ossau valley. Circa 1910. Courbet printer, Paris. 108x74cm. Original poster, lithograph, canvas-backed. Condition A-, traces of restoration in the margins. The Ossau valley is located in the Béarn region of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques département. It is made up of two cantons: in the lower valley is the canton of Arudy, with its Pyrenean foothills. In the upper valley lies the canton of Laruns, with its low, mid and high mountains. The Gave d'Ossau flows through the area, which is dominated by the 2,884-metre-high Pic du Midi d'Ossau.
