Terrot is a mechanical machinery manufacturing company, founded in 1887 by Charles Terrot in Cote d'or, Burgundy. It was originally a subsidiary of the German company Terrot, co-founded in Cannstatt, Germany in 1862 with Wilhelm Stücklen, which specialised in knitting machines. It was also a major producer of bicycles (150 per working day) and briefly tried its hand at the car industry with a small car in the 1910s. There was also some marginal production of prams and pushchairs. In 1959, Peugeot integrated Terrot.
