Description
Decoration of the Lebanese Order of Merit, instituted in 1922 during the period of the French Mandate. Circular bronze badge. On the obverse, an allegorical oriental scene with a figure under a tree accompanied by lions. On the reverse, inscriptions in Arabic and French characters with the motto "Honneur et Dévouement" surrounding a central cartouche. The tricolour ribbon is blue, white and red, with an embroidered green cedar in the centre, the national symbol of Lebanon. First half of the XXᵉ century. Accompanied by its certificate of attribution. Good overall condition, old ribbon showing signs of use.
