Description
Medal of the National Union of Combatants. (U.N.C.) - Commemorative medal by name. Gilt bronze medal of the Union Nationale des Combattants, a veterans' association founded after the First World War. On the right, an Adrian helmet resting on a bundle of laurel, surrounded by the legend: "Union Nationale des Combattants - Unis comme au front" ("National Union of Combatants - United as at the Front"). On the reverse, the medal is engraved with the name: "M. Ch. Jaumes a bien mérité de l'U.N.C.", in a wreath of foliage. Tricolour ribbon (blue, white and red) with thin red stripes. Pin mount. Good overall condition, well preserved bronze, ribbon with slight wear and discolouration. 20th century.
