Legion of Honour, Third Republic, rank of Officer. Officer's insignia of the Legion of Honour with five white enamelled double branches, topped by balls, surrounded by green enamelled oak and laurel wreaths. Obverse: central medallion bearing the effigy of the Republic, encircled by the legend "République Française". Reverse: inscription "Honneur et Patrie" with tricolour flags. Hanging from an oak and laurel wreath. Red moiré ribbon adorned with an officer's rosette. Period: Third Republic (late 19th - early 20th century). Accompanied by its certificate of attribution. Good condition, well preserved enamel, slight wear to the ribbon and traces of use on the reverse.
