Description
French commemorative medal for the 1939-1945 war, with three clasps. Hexagonal bronze medal awarded to soldiers who took part in operations during the Second World War. Obverse: Gallic cockerel with outstretched wings in front of a Lorraine cross, resting on a broken chain. Reverse: inscription "République Française - Guerre 1939-1945". Light blue moiré silk ribbon with green and red piping, decorated with central red chevrons. Three metal clasps: "LIBERATION" "FRANCE FRANCE""" GERMANY". These clasps correspond to the campaigns of the Liberation of France and operations in Germany. Good overall condition, medal well preserved, ribbon with wear and slight creases, coherent mounting.
