Description
Colonial medal, clasp "MADAGASCAR". Bronze colonial medal awarded to soldiers who took part in operations in French colonial territories. Obverse: a helmeted effigy of the Republic facing left, captioned "République Française". Reverse: trophy of arms and military attributes with the inscription "Médaille Coloniale" (Colonial Medal). Suspended by a leafy hanger. Light blue moiré ribbon with white stripes. There is a metal "MADAGASCAR" clasp, corresponding to the campaigns in Madagascar (particularly in the late 19th and early 20th centuries). Accompanied by its award certificate.
