Description
First Empire period light cavalry officer's sabre with brass mounting. Three-pronged brass hilt with oval-shaped pommel and curved quillon. Fully watermarked wooden spindle grip (watermark partly worn), long-tailed cap. Curved blade with hollow edge, 86 cm long, inscribed Kligenthal. Surface showing traces of oxidation and pitting, no major visible damage. Iron scabbard with two hoop rings, heavily oxidised condition, surface missing and extensive corrosion.
