Description
Concealed sword cane, cruciform blade, late 19th - early 20th century. Honey-coloured varnished wooden cane with a round turned wooden handle. Simple cylindrical shaft with a metal ferrule at the end. The pommel unscrews to reveal a cruciform steel blade with a sharp point, typical of civil defence models which favoured the thrust. Simple frame without guard, in keeping with the sword canes of the late 19th century. Functional locking system. Homogeneous set. Good overall condition. Some wear to the wood, slight traces of oxidation and pitting on the blade. Total length: 94 cm. Blade length: 52 cm. Late 19th - early 20th century.
