Description
A Nepalese-inspired kukri knife with a strongly curved steel blade with a single cutting edge, widened towards the tip, characteristic of this traditional Gurkhas weapon. The blade has a stylised plant motif engraved on the ricasso. Fitted with a black handle (horn or resin), decorated with metal inlays, ending in a flared pommel. Brass reinforcing ring. Moulded brown leather scabbard, curved shape, with traces of use and old repairs. In used condition. Blade with traces of oxidation and micro-scratches. Handle in good condition. Used scabbard with visible seams and restorations. Blade length 28 cm. 20th century.
