Description
A kukri knife of Nepalese origin, with a strongly curved steel blade with a single cutting edge, widened towards the tip, typical of this traditional weapon used in particular by the Gurkhas. The blade has a longitudinal groove (solid) and a characteristic indentation at the base (cho), a traditional feature of kukris. Mounted with a wooden handle, fixed with metal rivets, with a flared end. The frame is simple and utilitarian. Black leather scabbard with metal trim at the end and loop system. The scabbard shows old restorations. Used condition. Blade clean with traces of sharpening and micro-scratches. Handle in good condition. Used scabbard with visible repairs. Blade length 30 cm. Period: 20th century.
