Description
A kukri knife of Nepalese origin, with a strongly curved steel blade with a single cutting edge, widened towards the tip, characteristic of this traditional Gurkhas weapon. The blade has a marked longitudinal groove and a traditional notch (cho) at the base. Mounted with a turned wooden handle with a flared end and metal reinforcing ring. Simple utility-style assembly. Without scabbard. In used condition. Blade shows diffuse oxidation and signs of use. Handle in good condition with old patina. Blade length 38 cm. Period: 20th century.
