Description
Tuareg dagger, Sahara, 20th century. A traditional Tuareg dagger from the Saharan regions (North Africa / Sahel), with a straight, double-edged steel blade with a marked midrib. Fitted with a wooden handle with a characteristic flared shape, sheathed at the top with a leather scroll. It is preserved with its brown leather sheath, hand-stitched, simple shape, with original fastening system. Typical of Tuareg craftsmanship, used for everyday purposes. Blade length 17.5 cm. In used condition. Blade with oxidation, pitting and traces of sharpening. Wear and patina on scabbard.
