Description
Tuareg dagger, Sahara, 20th century. A traditional Tuareg dagger from the Saharan region, with a straight, double-edged steel blade with a central rib decorated with engraved geometric designs. It is fitted with a finely worked handle made of wood and metal elements, with ringed decoration, ending in a characteristic turned pommel. It is preserved with its leather scabbard, sheathed and embellished with raised metal fittings and geometric decoration, complete with its fastenings. A fine quality set, representative of Tuareg craftsmanship, for prestige use and traditional carrying. Good overall condition. Blade with slight traces of use. Beautiful patina. Minor wear to the leather.
