Ottoman yatagan, Turkey, 19th century. Yatagan type short sabre with curved steel blade, convex back and inner cutting edge, characteristic profile. The blade has a circular stamp on one side, probably a workshop mark. Typical bone handle with flared ears, fixed on a flat tang. Representative of 19th century Ottoman bladed weapons. Blade length 63 cm. Used condition. Blade with patina, traces of oxidation and wear. Handle showing signs of use, no major visible damage.
