Description
Combatant's cross. Bronze cross with four patté branches. The obverse features a medallion depicting the effigy of the Republic surrounded by the legend "République Française". On the reverse, a sword surmounted by a rising sun, with the words "Croix du Combattant". It is suspended from a light blue ribbon striped with seven vertical red stripes. This decoration was instituted in 1930 to reward holders of the veteran's card, in particular veterans of the First World War. Good condition.
