Description
Single action black powder revolver based on the Colt Navy 1851 model, modern Italian manufacture (20th century), marked "Made in Italy" on the barrel. Calibre 36. Octagonal bronzed barrel, cylindrical cylinder engraved with a naval scene (typical of the Navy model). Brass frame with wear patina, brass trigger guard and frame. Case hardened/blued stock, steel trigger. Warm varnished wooden stock. Front loading, with lever under the barrel. Presented in a wooden case lined with red velvet, comprising: a metal powder flask with eagle decoration, a bullet gripper (mould), a gunsmith's wrench/screwdriver, original compartments. Good condition. Surface oxidation, patina and traces of use on the metal parts. Mechanism not tested (operation not guaranteed). Box with wear and tear. Manufactured in the 20th century (historical reproduction). Black powder weapon Category D weapon.
