Description
WALTHER P38 semi-automatic pistol. Made by Spreewerk (cyq code), Germany - 1944. Calibre 9 mm Parabellum. German regulation pistol model Walther P38, adopted by the Wehrmacht from 1938 to replace the Luger P08. Manufactured by Spreewerk GmbH, Berlin-Spandau, identifiable by the manufacturer's code cyq, corresponding to a 1944 production run. Steel construction with wartime bronze finish showing a patina of use consistent with a Second World War military weapon. Original grooved black bakelite stock plates. German military acceptance marks (Waffenamt). Operated by short barrel recoil with oscillating block lock. Single and double action mechanism with combined safety and decocking lever mounted on slide. Barrel with fixed front sight and notched rear sight. Metal magazines included. RGA number BQ424-C26-7598. Good overall condition, with normal signs of use and age. Weapon category B1°.
