Makila or Basque walking stick, made of medlar wood, with a flattened horn pommel, a braided leather handle with a wrist strap, a copper ferrule, a hammered copper end piece and a steel tip. Engraved with the motto “Ene Bideko Laguna” (My travelling companion). Signed ‘LEONCINI’ at the bottom in Bayonne and dated 1995, and inscribed with the name ‘Raymond Pierre Archambeau 20 January 1930’ at the top (partially missing from the varnish) – L: 89.5 cm
