Original edition. One of the extremely rare 25 first copies on China paper (no. 13). Handwritten initials A.L. (Alphonse Lemerre)
Copy enriched with a 3-page L.A.S. from Mistral, dated "Maiano, 20 d'Abriéu 1883, and addressed to Maurice Barrès, as well as a 2-page reply letter from Barrès on blue paper, both letters finely mounted on tabs.
