A substantial folio volume bringing together the 12 issues from the year 1896, with their 12 colour-illustrated covers. A particularly attractive set due to the cover of the June 1896 issue (No. 75), illustrated by Alfons Mucha, one of the magazine’s most sought-after covers. This year is also of particular interest for its fin-de-siècle illustrations, notably featuring a contribution by Toulouse-Lautrec. A very fine collection of illustrated periodicals, sought after both for the decorative quality of its covers and for bringing together, in a single volume, the great names of Art Nouveau and late 19th-century Parisian illustration.
