Quarto in loose sheets, in a cardboard folder with flaps, printed on Marthe Féquet’s hand-cranked presses. Copy no. 111/160, on Montval paper, inscribed to Dr Georges B., preceded by a text by Clément-Janin entitled ‘Un inventaire’ (11 pages), with a list of plates. A sought-after collective album, reflecting the work of the Société de la gravure originale sur bois, bringing together a collection of original woodcuts by artists from the interwar period. This type of publication, with a limited print run and meticulous presentation, is prized both for its documentary value in the history of printmaking and for the quality of its contributions.
