A very substantial folio volume, in a contemporary full vellum binding formerly restored with a brown leather spine – Text in two columns, 5 ff. + 2096 columns (1048 pp.) + 170 pp. (Complementum) - Title page adorned with a large engraved typographic mark. An important Latin legal lexicon from the early 17th century, a veritable reference work bringing together civil law, canon law, feudal law and criminal law, as well as the principal terms of legal practice and doctrine. The work is presented as a comprehensive dictionary of jurisprudence, intended for both study and use by the bar and legal practitioners, and compiled from the principal ancient and modern jurists.
