An important scholarly work devoted to the biblical Hebrew language, conceived as a comprehensive Hebrew-Latin concordance lexicon. The work is presented as a reference tool intended for scholars, theologians, Hebrew specialists and philologists, enabling a methodical and synoptic overview of the vocabulary of the Hebrew Bible.
William Robertson (died c. 1686), a Scottish orientalist and lexicographer, taught Hebrew in London before being appointed professor of Hebrew at Cambridge in 1680. His *Thesaurus linguae sanctae* is his magnum opus and forms part of the great Hebrew and biblical scholarship of the late 17th century.
Condition: fair; some scuffing, small areas of leather missing from the spine, corners and edges worn, slightly cracked joints, interior in good condition.
