A collection of satirical and burlesque plays, verging on the risqué. Under Louis XIII, the author was one of the libertines and gallants of the court, known as the ‘Intrépides’. He spent 12 years imprisoned in the Bastille. The first edition dates from 1630. A fine copy, though slightly short at the top.
