Quarto, stapled, soft illustrated cover – 31 pp., [1 p.], vignettes in the text. First edition. A lovely poem, a gift from the writer Francis Éon (1879–1949), on the upper inside front cover. A fine copy.
2/ - Galland, Gabriel - La Nézière, R. de. - The King of Animal Detectives. A four-legged Sherlock Holmes. Paris, Jules Tallandier, 1908. Large quarto, publisher’s paperback binding, cloth-bound spine – corners worn, edges rubbed, scattered foxing – 64 pp., 5 full-page illustrations, colour and monochrome vignettes in the text.

Large 8vo, publisher’s illustrated cardboard binding, cloth spine – corners rubbed, spine faded with small tears, stains on the covers – 50 double leaves mounted on tabs and illustrated by Wilhelm Busch. This is a series of loose-leaf sheets published between 1848 and 1898. Fifty of these, accompanied by a text by Wilhelm Busch and numbered from 242 to 626, have been collected in this volume. The title on the front cover serves as the title page.
