Verne, Jules. – Five Weeks in a Balloon – Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Hetzel Collection [c. 1904–1905], print no. 35090. ‘Elephant-style’ cardboard binding, title in cartouche, spine featuring a lighthouse. Minor wear to the endpapers, second cover with marks, endpapers torn. Complete set of 8 plates, unmounted, in fair condition. The only known example amongst the five reprints featuring the elephant and fan designs that has the title in a cartouche. Condition: 6/10 – Rarity: 5/5.
