Publisher’s hardback illustrated with 18 linocuts, printed on alternating ivory and pale pink paper, single-sided – [58 ff.] Illustrated with linocuts by Elizabeth Rashley: half-title vignette, frontispiece and 26 birds arranged alphabetically. Each linocut is accompanied by a humorous caption: “Woodcock, her wish: that we might all be vegetarians”. A print run of 98 copies on Canson Ingres paper; this is one of the 84 in black, following 14 coloured copies (no. 39). In perfect condition.
