Huet, Christophe. – Antics, or Various Aspects of Human Life Depicted by Monkeys. Engraved by J. Guélard after drawings by C. Huet. Paris, Guélard, n.d. [c. 1750]. Oblong 4to, paperback, in poor condition. There are 13 mounted plates (including the title page), one of which depicts a monkey with a magic lantern accompanied by a mechanical musical instrument. Included is another series of ‘monkey antics’ drawn by Huet and engraved by Filloeul (2) and Aveline the Younger (2).
