The French Constitution, presented to the King on 3 September 1791, and accepted by His Majesty on the 14th of the same month. Paris, Imprimerie Nationale, 1791. In-12, bound in full green morocco, the covers decorated with a triple border of gilt fillets, each corner featuring a small fleur-de-lis, smooth spine with decoration, red title label – corners pierced, edges rubbed – {2 ff., title folio, title page], IV pp. (table of contents), 179 pp. Slight marginal foxing on 2 folios; otherwise a fine copy on strong vellum. Complete with facsimile signatures of the President and Secretaries of the Constituent Assembly (Vernier, Pougeard, Couppé, Mailly-Chateaurenaud, Chaillon, Aubry, Darche, etc.) as well as that of Louis XVI.
