Small square quarto (16.2 x 16.3 cm), with the covers adorned with a narrow strip of black morocco leather enclosing a woodgrain paper background onto which a spider-web motif, cut from and painted on paper, has been mounted, plain spine with gilt lettering (author, title, illustrator), navy blue cloth dust jacket bearing the same lettering, shaped and edged slipcase, covers and spine preserved (bound by Claude Delpierre and Kirsten Vinding) – [10 ff.] comprising 10 illustrations by Bertini, including 4 full-colour double-page spreads, 1 single-page colour illustration and 5 full-page decorative elements in bistre. A print run of 44 copies on heavy vellum; this is one of the 40 (no. 9). The copy is enhanced with a double-page composition in ink, ink wash, watercolour and gouache, signed.
