Description
[MacOrlan, Pierre – Pascin] – An Alphabet Book for Girls and Beloved Children. Paris, Éditions de la Fanfare de Montparnasse [H. Jonquières], 1924. In-12, paperback with a pink embossed cover bearing the title (16.4 x 12.8 cm) – [2 ff., frontispiece-title page, title page], 53 pp. Each letter of the alphabet (set against a monochrome background in various colours), adorned with a freehand illustration attributed to Pascin, is followed by a quatrain. Printed in a run of 200 numbered copies; this one is one of 150 printed on Lafuma pure-fibre vellum (no. 117). (Pia, *Les Livres de l’Enfer*, p. 26).
