[9 ff.], CC–675 pp.; 867–LVI pp.; CII–819 pp.; 839 pp.; 944 pp. Handwritten bookplate of a Grand Duke of Berg – A major classic of Parisian historiography, the *Histoire de Paris*, begun by Dom Félibien and completed by his colleague Dom Lobineau, belongs in any library dedicated to the history of Paris. Featuring very comprehensive onomastic and geographical tables, it includes three volumes of supporting documents which attest to the seriousness with which the authors approached their subject. The 35 plates constitute a fine collection of illustrations depicting classical Paris as remodelled by Louis XIV.
