Paris, De l'Imprimerie Royale, 1787 & 1788. 2 pamphlets in an in-8 volume, contemporary marbled calf, smooth spine decorated, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, central coat of arms. (1) f., 59 pp., (1) f. & 56 pp. Binding worn: title-piece missing, jaws partially split, head-cap damaged, rubbing and wear, first page of text angularly missing with a gap of a few characters, paper browned, scattered freckles, spotting on the edges of some plates.
Fourth and fifth letters addressed by Antoine François Vincent to M. Bachelier, painter to the King, professor at the Royal Academy of Painting. The first text contains 6 folded plates; the second 3 folded plates.
Bound with the arms of Louis Thiroux de Crosne (1736-1794), intendant of Normandy and last lieutenant-general of police in Paris. He was guillotined in 1794.
