TEMPESTA , Antonio (after). Factitious collection of 30 17th century prints. One volume in-8, half cloth with 19th century laces (wear). A collection of 30 seventeenth-century prints pasted at the top on thick twentieth-century paper. Contains engravings from Aucupationis Multifariae 1609, 1639, 1680 as well as prints from other Tempeste collections. Engravings trimmed. One plate with angular loss Env 9.5 x 13.5 cm. Later numbered plates 1 to 29 (the title engraving is not numbered). The first 7 concern bird hunting and falconry; plates 8 to 15 deal with hare and game hunting. Plates 16 and following contain scenes with ferocious animals (bear, lion, felines), followed by 3 engravings of large bird hunting (ostrich), and finally 7 engravings of lion hunting.
