P., Dumont, 1841, 2 vols., 8vo, 306 pp., 318 pp., full violet calf, cold-stamped covers, spine decorated with rocaille motifs, gilt edges, interior lace trim. First edition, a fine copy. Ex-libris on the half-titles: ‘Bibliothèque de S.A.R. M. le Duc d’Orléans’. This volume contains a moving account of the fire in Moscow in September 1812. Spine slightly faded, some foxing and scuffing.
