First copy on Imperial Japan paper, enhanced with an original drawing and a dedicatory inscription. Paris, Trémois, 1931. Quarto, paperback, cover printed in two colours. 186 pp., black-and-white illustrations in the text and as inserts. Stains on the frayed cover, some foxing. First edition illustrated with drawings by the author, who offers a personal account of French West Africa. One of 30 numbered first-edition copies on Imperial Japan paper (no. 3). This copy is enhanced with an original signed drawing, reproduced on page 169 of the book, and a signed autograph dedication. In good condition.
