DUTOURD, Jean. “Journal d’un mort”. Typescript with handwritten corrections and a signed dedication. Handwritten title in black ink and 102 typewritten pages with handwritten corrections in black and red felt-tip pen, all on the front of another typescript entitled "Terra Incognita" by Jean-Charles Angrand. In a pink folder annotated “Emilio’s copy” and “from Edmonde Charles-Roux”, and a black slipcase. Typescript of *Journal intime d’un mort* (Diary of a Dead Man), published in 2004 by Plon. There are corrections on every page, many of which are deletions or adjustments to individual words. In this first-person novel, the Academician Jean Dutourd (1920–2011) imagines, with humour and melancholy, the afterlife of his character who has passed away. A dedication, signed and dated 17 May 2004 in blue ink on the title page, reads: “A copy for Emilio Marcioni, presented by the author with his warmest regards. 17.5.2004”.
