[PARIS] GENTY, Charles and BEAUNIER, André. Bonshommes de Paris. Paris, Tricon, 1902. Quarto, light brown half-basane, ribbed spine with gilt title and the initials ‘R.S.’ at the foot. 133 pp., 14 plates, including 4 in colour, 8 monochrome and 2 in black; numerous illustrations in the text. Normal wear to the cap bands and corners; paper slightly discoloured at the margins. An illustrated first edition featuring fourteen plates devoted to Paris during the Belle Époque, in which André Beaunier (1869–1925) describes the people, places and customs of the Paris region. The witty illustrations by the caricaturist Charles Genty (1876–1956) enhance the charm of this account of Paris in 1900. In good condition.
