A copy on white vellum with a suite, in a modern full binding by Flammarion. Paris, Ferroud, 1927. In-8, full blue coarse-grained morocco, spine with four raised bands, covers inlaid with a wide transverse band of black morocco, inner border adorned with a framing design comprising gilt fillets and corner fleurons, blue moiré silk linings, double endpapers, gilt fillet on the edges, guilloché caps, gilt head, untrimmed, covers and spine preserved, edged slipcase. Binding signed Flammarion. 72 pp., title vignette, 10 colour plates, initials and end-piece illustrations in colour. Spine slightly sun-faded. Illustrated edition featuring original colour plates by Maurice Lalau (1881–1961), including 4 full-page plates. Print run limited to 1,525 copies; this is one of 300 numbered copies on white vellum, containing an additional black-and-white version of the illustrations. A very fine copy.
