An excellent record of publishing and the graphic arts presented at the 1900 World’s Fair. Paris, Cercle de la Librairie, 1900. Quarto, ebony half-maroquin, ribbed spine highlighted with gilt fillets, panels decorated with fleurons. Bound by Michel Braibant with his ex-libris label. 100 pp. and a great many illustrations, both in the text and as inserts, in black and colour. Minor scuffing to the binding from handling, slight marks on the lower board; the covers are somewhat soiled, with very rare foxing. First edition published to mark the 1900 World’s Fair. The collection showcases the finest works (engravings, typography, bindings, etc.) from the publishing houses present. In fine condition.
