Both volumes bear dedications; the first, *Gérard and His Witness*, is a first-edition copy and includes a signed autograph note. Paris, Gallimard – NRF, 1922. n-4 tellière, paperback, cover printed in two colours. 221 pp. Cover discoloured with water stains; foxing on the first and last leaves. First edition. One of 108 first-printing copies, reprinted and numbered on Lafuma-Navarre pure-thread laid paper (no. XV), accompanied by a signed autograph dedication in blue ink to a collector “who has a taste for fine books” (recipient’s name crossed out). Enclosed is a handwritten note signed ‘P.B.’ (1 page, in-12 format, on blue paper bearing the printed letterhead of the Hôtel d’Iéna). Also by the same author: - *Chacun. Treize à la douzaine 4*. Paris, Le Document, 1932. In-8, paperback with a bright red cover (slight sun damage). 59 pp., frontispiece portrait of the author by L. Rode. Copy printed on Marais vellum, featuring a dedication to René Chalupt (1885–1957), poet and music critic. In good condition.
