COHEN, Albert. *Belle du seigneur*. Paris, Gallimard, 1968. Large 8vo, paperback, cover with flaps. 845 pp. Spine browned and creased, with a small loss of paper at the bottom. Published in the same year as the original edition of Albert Cohen’s masterpiece. A copy belonging to Françoise Kostolany (1937–2025), bearing her handwritten bookplate. An economist with a passion for psychology and the diamond market. Together with her husband, the financial expert André Kostolany, she built up a significant collection. Included is an autographed business card from the author addressed to Françoise Kostolany (two lines, with her name printed, and an envelope): ‘with his sincere regards and the assurance of his warmest and most friendly regards’. In good condition.
